Follow the prophet? Yes, I think I will.

I need your help! Will you please speak up over here:

http://thelolaletters.blogspot.com/2010/02/heather-said.html

and reveal yourself as an intelligent, wonderful woman that follows the prophet? I mentioned on my cousin's blog that I 'follow the prophet' and 'he knows the way' and I've been accused of being childish and naive (go figure.) This was in response to a book review where the author explains that women are happier if they a. get married later b. have children later and c. have fewer children. (Hmmm... I wonder where those ideas came from?) So, if you have anything you'd like to say, go check it out! I think it'd be awesome if we all left a comment about how we are intelligent, fun-loving, spiritual women that actually follow someone besides Oprah Winfrey. (Did I just say that? Yes, I think I did.)

**WOW! If you want to read an AMAZING comment, read the one by Jill Collier- you are so awesome, Jill! She's my super cute, talented, best mommy, sister-in-law! Way to go, Jill!

That's what I said, too.... exactly! That's what got the lady's feathers ruffled. Sad, huh?

I've learned that people like that lady are never going to listen to reason. They are too emotionally-charged, and no matter what you say, they will take offense. I got an email from a distant cousin when Prop 8 was going on accusing me of being a hater, etc, etc. I typed up this huge response with facts about the church's involvement, etc. Then I decided, "He doesn't care about the truth. He just wants to let everyone know how angry he is. My words are never going to change his view." So I never sent it.

I think that's how this lady is. She doesn't care about the truth, she just wants everyone to fall in line with what she says. Good for you for sticking to your beliefs! I love how many people supported you! I support you too!

Wow, that lady is on one! If she is LDS and doesn't believe that following the Prophet is the way to happiness, then she hasn't studied his teachings enough and has not put them to practice (and also the teachings of all past prophets). Sorry Heather, I COMPLETELY agree with you and that was a rude comment from that person.

Thank you!!! I think that 'Anonymous' probably has some trouble with her past, etc. and is trying to wish her guilt away. I was really hoping that she would soften up, but maybe we gave her some things to think about? Thanks again, guys! The good comments definitely outnumbered the bad in this case!
